CTBT-1996
The Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in September of 1996. The purpose of the treaty is to prohibit all nuclear explosions in all environments.
NPT-1970
The Non-Proliferation Treaty was officially signed into force in 1970. It was then extended indefinitely in May of 1995. The purpose of the treaty was to stop the manufacture and trading of nuclear weapons. The NPT is the most signed disarmament treaty to this day.
LTBT-1963
The Limited Test Ban Treaty was signed in 1963. This treaty prohibits nuclear weapon testing in the atmosphere, in outer space, under water, and in almost every other area.
